Only share pictures you made or have the right to use. If something on HangLine uses your work without your permission, email support@hanglineapp.com and we will take it down.
You are reporting:
Say whether it uses your work (then include what section 2 asks for) or is offensive for another reason.
1. Where people's pictures appear
- The Community in the app (HangLine Pro): pictures people make public. We check each one before it shows.
- Shared hangs: the hanglineapp.com/h/… links people make with Share to a friend.
- HangLine for Websites: pictures, GIFs, videos and 3D files a business adds to hang on its own website.
- The Feed: comments.
Whoever uploads something is responsible for it. When you upload a picture, you confirm that you made it or have the right to share it.
2. Report your work (a copyright notice)
Email support@hanglineapp.com with the subject Copyright notice, and include:
- your name, postal address, phone number and email address;
- the work that is yours (a link to it, or a description);
- where it is on HangLine: the link (for example hanglineapp.com/h/…), the ornament's name in the Community, or the website it hangs on;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that this use is not allowed by you, your agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you own the work or may act for its owner;
- your signature (typing your full name is enough).
In the app, anyone can also press Report on a Community picture; reported pictures leave everyone's screen until we look at them. Sending a notice you know to be false can make you liable for the harm it causes.
3. What we do
When a notice has everything above, we remove the material or block access to it, and tell the person who uploaded it.
4. If your picture was taken down by mistake (a counter-notice)
Email support@hanglineapp.com with the subject Counter-notice, and include:
- your name, postal address, phone number and email address;
- what was removed, and where it was before;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or because it was misidentified;
- a statement that you agree to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the district where your address is (or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which HangLine may be found), and that you will accept legal papers from the person who sent the notice or their agent;
- your signature (typing your full name is enough).
We send it to the person who sent the notice. If they do not tell us within 10 to 14 working days that they have gone to court, we may put the material back.
5. People who keep sharing others' work
We close the accounts of people who repeatedly upload other people's work without permission, and remove their Community pictures and shared hangs.
6. Where notices go
Send notices and counter-notices by email to support@hanglineapp.com.
7. Anything else
For something on HangLine that is offensive or harmful but not about copyright, press Report in the app or email support@hanglineapp.com. See also our Terms and Privacy Policy.
